GridHortons Catering Agreement

1. Overview

This Catering Agreement (“Agreement”) outlines the terms under which GridHortons (“we,” “our,” “us”) provides virtual catering services within Second Life and related virtual worlds. By booking catering through GridHortons.com or in‑world, you (“the Client”) agree to the terms below.

2. Nature of Services

All catering services provided by GridHortons are entirely virtual and intended for RP (roleplay) use. Items such as coffee urns, pastries, sandwiches, donuts, and event spreads are digital assets and non‑edible in real life — though they may look delicious.

3. Booking Requirements

• Client must provide an in‑world location (SLURL or region name).
• Client must specify the event date, time, and expected attendance.
• Special RP requests (themes, custom signage, branded items) must be submitted in advance.
• GridHortons reserves the right to decline bookings that conflict with existing events or violate SL community standards.

4. Delivery & Setup

GridHortons staff or automated delivery systems will set up catering items at the designated in‑world location. Setup includes:

• Coffee urns and beverage stations
• Pastry trays, sandwich boxes, and dessert platters
• Event signage and branded décor
• Optional RP staff presence (if requested)

Setup time varies depending on event size, lag conditions, and region performance.

5. Payment Terms

Payments for catering services are considered RP transactions. Accepted forms include:

• L$ (Second Life Linden Dollars)
• Grid‑specific virtual currencies (OpenSim)
• RP barter arrangements (subject to approval)

All payments are final. Refunds are only issued if catering items fail to deliver due to technical issues.

6. Client Responsibilities

• Ensure the event location is accessible and not restricted.
• Provide accurate event details and RP requirements.
• Maintain a grief‑free environment during setup and service.
• Notify GridHortons of any changes at least 24 hours before the event.

7. Liability & Limitations

GridHortons is not responsible for:

• Lag, region crashes, or viewer issues
• Griefers, trolls, or unauthorized object returns
• Virtual caffeine overdoses
• Donut‑related RP chaos

All services are provided “as‑is” within the virtual environment.

8. Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before the event. Late cancellations may incur a fee or loss of deposit depending on the scale of the catering setup.

9. Agreement Acceptance

By booking GridHortons catering services, the Client acknowledges and agrees to all terms outlined in this Agreement.
